Vaux Agila 1.0 have Timing Chains

Both 1.0's and 1.2's have chains. These Ecotec's are s**te though and eat chains like nobodies business. Know of a 1.0 Corsa that's on it's 5th chain after 37k.

Never heard of that myself. 3 cyl Ecotec's rock. Would love to build one with a turbo and a 9000 redline and stick it in an elise.

The X series are OK-ish. Z10XE's are bollocks. The X10XE has the silver cam cover with black Ecotec plug hood, Z10XE has full black. It was the Z10XE that was stuck into the Corsa C.

Chain- no scheduled replacent interval, but if its noisy then yes...

X series 3 cylinders are a nightmare and will often break / stretch chains. Design fault with chain oil supply, or lack thereof..! (squirter nozzle is too small and easily blocks if oil changes are at all less than frequent.)
