Vauxhall Omega

Anybody know why my omega 2.0 16v smokes badly going round left hand bends with power on? Doesn't smoke much at all under any other circumstance. I'ts already been suggested I don't go round left handers, thanks.

The message from "Graham Vigus" contains these words:

Oh, you can go round left-handers alright - but backwards.

Only thing I can think of is oil slopping over to one side, where something's worn enough to allow it into the combustion chambers. Can't see it happening myself though.

Assuming that is that it's actually smoke from something going *through* the engine, and not something leaking onto the exhaust and burning off that way. I had a car that was smoking on decceleration and round one direction of corner (can't remember which now) and it turned out the auto box was leaking onto the exhaust - It's a rwd car, with the exhaust running very close to the box.
