Hi All, Can anyone help.
I have recently bought p reg 2L gls vectra with factory fitted alarm.
Everything seems to work ok exect acording to the handbook the indicators should flash when i operate the keyfob on the central locking.
Any one have any ideas, is it some kind of relay or would i have to renew something else..please help...scanman
The alarm operates the normal indicator relays (the Vectra has one relay for left and one for right). If they are not flashing when the alarm is armed/disarmed or triggered, then it is likely that the control unit is not set-up correctly. A Vauxhall dealer can reset the country configuration with their TECH2 computer - if it is set to UK, then the indicators will flash. If it is set to Germany, then the indicators do not flash. A quick check with TECH2 will ascertain the country code and reset it if necessary, and also actuate the relays manually to test the circuit. This shouldn't cost more than £25 at a Vx dealer.
