VW TDI Question

This morning my VW TDI began a squeaking noise, I think it was from the drivers side.

When the vehicle is stationary or moving at very low speed this noise it present. There is no squeaking noise at normal driving speed, this seems to be fine.

Can you please advise what this could be and also is it ok to drive until I take the car into a garage.

Many Thanks

*snort*

It would help if we knew which car it was, other than a generic 'VW TDI'.

Sorry for that, it's a Y reg BORA

It this costly if it is auxilary belt, also can it been driven until repair is done.

What does a auxilary belt do.

Mant thanks

It drives the PAS pump, alternator and aircon. It is not expensive.

TBH though, it could be anything squeaking.

Definitely very hard to say without being infront of the car listening to it. I was chucking out a example. If its like my old car when I was a student everything under it creeked and squeeked it was like a toddlers play mat lol.

I'd personally get it looked at one of those no obligation type garages and see of its something you can DIY if not let them at it.

A perfectly valid one too :-). It's hard enough diagnosing odd noises while in front of the car, never mind over usenet.

ARB bushes? Radiator mount? Although tend to make more of a noise when going over a bump in the road.
