Wax afterwash

Anyone know where I can buy the liquid wax which is used in an auto car wash after the final rinse. Is it the same as a dishwasher after rinse

Thanks JOHN

Dunno, most peeps here will recommend Autoglym or some such. If you think about it, the stuff can't be the same as dishwasher after rinse can it? Do you have waxy plates?

Try asking at a supplier of commercial power washers.

The message from "Johnnie Scott" contains these words:

No. Rinse-aid raises the surface tension of the water so it runs off easily. Great for adding to warm water to defrost windscreens[1] but not a polish.

What you want is any of the many shampoo and wax products available. There are dozens - go shopping.

[1] Very seasonal! Any bets on the first carburettor icing of the year? I reckon around 19th November.

Dont know or care if its has the same properties as dishwash solution, but wax style car wash can be found even in pound shops !! But better value at some diys for bigger bottles.

Yes, many have wash & wax combination. There is Turtle Zip Wax, but also Halfords own brand was well regarded by Auto Express. Perhaps not as effective as real wax treatment, but it's thrown in for free, so to speak, as no extra work is required.
