I've got whole CD with articles and schemes about this transition. Nothing designed especially for Miata, but helpful.

I am unclear about the point? It appears that you will be lifting the door way up, putting a lot of stress on you as well as the light weight car body. And it still does not look particularly easy to get in the car.
