My best friend has a 2002 ML320 with a mere 15,000 miles. He reports that in spite of rotating the 17 inch Dunlop tires regularly, they are "gone". His local mechanic suggests Goodyear tires...says Michelin does not make a tire in that size. I doubt that. What do you all recommend? And do any of you have similar experience with Dunlops wearing out that fast?

Yes, I have 1999 ML320 that came with Dunlops -- bad news. Then found out that ML 320 takes a special size -- made by Michelin but hard to get. Most common supplier for this size is Goodyear
Special size my derriere! These tires in Michelin are not hard to find. No big deal.
