just fitted a smiths 3" rev counter to the pickup, it does work, but reads
4000rpm at IDLE - ie around 4 times as much as it should. Its a smiths RVI
1003/00 if that helps, i have tried wiring it to both the + and - sides of the coil to the same effect. i am about to email speedy cables and another, but was just wondering if anyone here had any ideas.
essentially the gauge does work, but would go off the scale (0-8000) if driven.
vehicle has a lumenition kit as opposed to points, but i dont think this comes into it.
thanks RS
