I loan my 97 Galant to a friend last week and she told the car wouldn't start. She got a neighbor to help her, she said he threw water in the battery and gave he a boost............. Now the radio won't work, I turn it on and it has "OFF" on the screen, I tried inputting the security code, however I'm not getting any response from the radio at all. can some one help me with this one.

You have to turn the ignition on (not started) and wait for approx. 2-4 hrs. then the radio will reset to CODE. Now you have (3) more attempts at unlocking it. If you get the OFF message again you will have to repeat this procedure
