Depends what you call a decent price. Did you try Advance Auto?

There was a post a while back where the guy mentioned putting in an aftermarket alternator on a mitsu ?3000gt? and it frying out soon after taking the car's computers with it. I had pep boys put 1 in last year on my '91 talon and that blew out 3 weeks later taking with it the trans computer. They replaced that one, it blew the next day taking another trans computer with it. Replaced with another one and soon after noticed and verified w/ voltmeter that the current is jumping around eratically +/- 1.5 v. (with no draw on it) Later learned that aftermarket alternators that have built-in voltage regulators are not to be trusted on these cars as others have reported issues w/ the voltage regulator and the frying of computers with oem the only way to go. Might want to try Tallahassee mitsubishi (for good prices) and mention dsm.org. They accept returned electrical parts which is virtually unheard of from a dealer. good luck, greg
Eeeek! Thanks for posting that. Will keep in mind. Long as I have a Mitsu, the alt could go course. If a factory alt is $400, I can imagine what a computer costs...
