Can somebody tell me what a good estimate is for replaceing a waterpump in a 1993 Diamante? I went to the mechanic and he quoted a price of $350.00. Is this a good price?

If he's replacing the cam and balance belt too, yes. Be aware that belt tensioner bearings probably need replacing too. If you car is a 4 cylinder, the labour is 2-3 hours max. Not sure about the V6, but it does take longer

I'm not so sure who would repair the most efficiently (you, dealer, repair shop). I know working out repairs on my own has saved me a lot of money, but sometimes, repairs are time consuming and often leave my back in pain for days. You can try out AutoZone's site:

Their repair info site are usually the best thing to use (next to a shopmanual). You can also try out their store to get a price on a water pump(other sites like napaonline.com and genuineoem.com I've found to beusefull for price comparison).
