Will wheels from an Evolution fit a stock Lancer ES without a problem. I'd like to dress my simple little Lancer up a bit and thought I'd keep it "in the family". Don't want to go all out, just rims and window tinting will do it.

Depends on the year.
If your car has 4 stud wheels, then no, cause the Evo is 5 stud.
If you have 5 stud wheels (ie a 2005 AFAIK), then yes, as Mitsu uses the same 5x4.5" pattern on all car models.
You might want to look at Oz Rally wheels. Again, it depends on the year. About 2002/2003 (in Canada, don't know about Australia), nonOz models have
4x100mm pattern, while the Oz have the 4x4.5" pattern.Stewart DIBBS
Unless you can get them dirt cheap look elsewhere. Mitsu was subject to a class-action suit over their low quality wheels in recent years. Also the
6.5" wheel width is less than optimum. Also in some Mitsubishi's, the well on some were different, the 5 stud JJ
5.5, JJ6 and JJ6.5 are ok on the rear wheels but hit the chassis on the front, spacers here in Australia are also illegal, so before you drive, affix the new rims with tyres on a jack and turn the steering wheel to full left hand lock then right hand lock. Then reverse the car using the left and right full locks. Some hit some dont. Hope this helps. Most of the early 4 stud mags fit most 4 stud, i also believe, some Kia rims using 205/65R x 15 5 stud will also fit Mitsubishi's.Peter Australia
