How did I learn so much? YEARS of malpractice on other makes, starting with

- 1956 Morris Minor Traveller, replacing the 803cc A motor with a 1622cc B motor. Eventually the rear wooden frame rotted away and the old heap broke.

- building and rallying a series of Renault 8's, rebuilding various engines, including a 140hp 1370cc R12 variant with twin 40mm Webers

- building and rallying a 70 Galant for six years, with 160hp 1750cc Saturn with #5 cam and twin 45mm Dellorto's, trailing arms and big brakes.

- fixing a 72 Valiant 318-V8 wagon to use as the rally car service truck. It was crappy gold and unspeakably ugly: we called it the Vogon (check the Hitchhiker's Guide and the description of Vogon spaceships...). We put a set of ute rear springs into it to stop it dragging its arse on the road. Even loaded with rally gear it seemed to make little difference to the performance.

- running a Aussie Ford Laser AWD for a year

- running a Mazda GTX AWD here in Canada for six years

- maintaining an 89 Eagle Vista 4WD for 10 years, including a 4G64 swap.

- and building my current 93 Eagle Summit GTX turbo.

Buy the Mitsu service manual and read it through. Get a decent set of

Neither. As I said, buy the Mitsu service manual and get ALL the information.

good i never liked either of those they just tell you how to take it apart and put it back together any monkey can do that.
