Under acceleration, at various quarter mile strips dotted around the country, ours was optimistic by between 0 and 0.5 seconds :) usually 0.2 (i.e. it reckoned we'd pulled an 20.0xx and it was really 20.2xx.

The secret is to take zillions of runs...

The lateral acceleration feature is pretty cool, except you may crash whilst going "ooooh 0.9g corner, that" and similar.

Used a vericom one (posh expensive thing) on my v8 sierra, to measure its

4.70 to 60 (and .82g peak) Used a similar one on my bike on the 1/8th mile at a tempory drag strip/runway at manby and it tallied to 100th of a sec (6.2secs to 118.something over the 220 yds) They can be very accurate!

And disapointing when you find out your car that is "supposed" to do say 7 secs to 60 just wont even get close!

  1. Buy it.
  2. Plug it in.
  3. The end.

You can get em from the USA on eBay for £minimal - I've got one kicking around somewhere, but it's never been out of the box.
