First Browns Lane, then Longbridge and now Ryton.


4000 jobs to go, in a City of only about 300,000 that's quite a blow.

I can see why they're closing it, the factory is in Socialist Party territory and they're always encouraging strikes. Peugeot workers are/were some of the best paid in Coventry. If you were doing agency work and got called in to Peugeot, it was your round on Friday night!



I guess in the near future, every other car on Coventry's streets won't be a 206 :)

Union man was blaming the Govt for not implementing European style labour laws that make it very difficult for PSA to close plants in Germany and France. Wonder why the French and Germany economies are s*it?
