I used to be privileged enough to own an Mk3 XR3i that was running RS1600i head and suspension - great fun for ragging point to point on twisty country roads. :-D

It's not been driven since the MOT was taken last April so it only just ran out, I don't have a clue what is needed but the car has done say 20 miles since the last one, the battery tray is not that bad, and if you look in the pics on wellcheap gallery you can see it's not a dog by no means.
S2 is in a totally different league, there were only 5000 series 1's ever made, and of that less than 10% survive, someone spending 5k on mine would have a nice car.
A low mileage mint one fetches 6-8k one sold recently with 5k miles on for
13k, been kept in a garage dehumidified all its life.
I believe uve sold it now ron? I knew it wouldnt be long, I wanted it myself but its a silly idea for me right now...
I reckon like they said worth more than 900 notes but u did want a quick sale...
