I have an idea can someone give me some advise, If i transplant the ecu from the new 2.2 into my astra "G" 2.0 DTI will i get a 23 bhp increase or am i missing something ?

Your missing something, 200 somethings to be precise.

0.2 litres. There's a bit more to it than just transplanting the ECU . . . it would be like swapping the cork from nice Californian red onto a bottle of cheap French plonk, and expecting the plonk to taste like the red.
You'll need to transplant the donk, or consider other modifications, if you want the additional power and torque.
Seeing as one engine is a 2.2 and one is a 2.0, then clearly your idea is flawed :)
You can get WAY more than a 23bhp increase, by simply buying a tuning box for £300-£500 quid. Speak to

Nope. He was right.
Real french wine is plonk (consumable plonk, but still plonk) quite often made for the local table.
Californian wine is all commercial, and all moderate quality. Better in many cases than a lot of old world wines.
All the wine companies have major investment in new world wines to make a killing.
As the word "plonk" is a bastardisation of the phrase "vin blanc", which is french, I think "French Plonk" is perfectly correct.
Apart from Zinfandel, which is an aberration of a drink.
It wont work, let alone give you more power.
you'd be better off looking into a van aaken upgrade.
