Everyone happy? <1st Dec>

What about those SportKa things, surely they're only in single figures.

:: On the flipside... I owe a large sum to my credit card company which :: I should really start to do something about... :-/

Know what you mean. I missed my last payment (oops, oversight) and they decided to chase me up on it. They couldn't get me at home as it was during the day, so the bastards must have looked at my account and found out where I worked (you had to fill that in on the application ISTR). They didn't have my work number so they found out the switchboard number, who kindly put them through to my mobile...

I've been saying this for years!

Or a tiered-license system which /forces/ more education before driving a more powerful car.

But then I'd have to put my car away for another 17 years!!! (er, that suggestion's a bit silly!)

Well, it's one way of getting rid of young, /rich/ drivers!

Psst, Lordy, I think you mean double-figures!

Cocaine at 17-years-old? You must've had a good after-school job ;-)

young, rich, /honest/ drivers.

Alternatively may just mean that criminals will drive uninsured Ferraris.

Nasty. :(

Your sense of humor is still there though! ;-)

But, head on into a Jag with a Fester, presumably quick and painless? (which definitely has its plus sides)

Sod christmas and drinking; I get to see the family for the first time in 3/5 months (bloody jobs abroad) and trade pushbike for car again. Okay, perhaps just sod the christmas part. :)

What do you think priority on the motor should be; finish the roof (loose the remnants of the tintop and have a ragtop made to fit) or swap engines (35hp@wheels, ?fly for 140@fly). Maybe just wash it and finish painting the rollcage, LOL!

Roof would keep the seatbelts and rear passengers drier, but is that worth more than a dollop more poke...

Just remember, the roll cage is not something to hold onto :P. Heard of someone who got their fingers mashed off because they were using the rollcage as something to hold onto and the landy rolled a few weeks back...

Looking good !

Is it pretty much finished now then ?

Thumbs are either resting on the face of the steering wheel or hooked under the shoulder straps mate...

Unless you're a back seat passenger; in which case thumbs are blue with white knuckles as you hug the cage rear stays, landie making it around the corner (somehow!) but at a decidedly odd angle...

Roadrallied the beastie for the first time ever this term; top laugh on those tyres and wet&leafy roads. :)

Good man! Where do you road rally the beast? I had a mate the did it in his V8 leightweight and had a great time (although i think he only did it once).

Its looking good BTW

That is one hell of a tidy mod job mate. Just been through the whole site.

Puts a lot of us to shame.

Somewhere east of cambridge, I was driving so don't know any more about where we were than "T right 1 mile"...

Navigator dude has just chipped in with "between cambridge and newmarket" as where we were. Mainly flat and open, quality groud for practicing sideways. Needed the runoff too - when you've been riding a pushbike for 4 weeks and its been 8 since you last drove rwd you suddenly find at the first bend you're a touch 'rustier' at it thatn you remembered. ;-)

If you know of any in the cambs or midlands area give us a shout, have got a taste for it now! :)

Ouch! The 2.25 got us a shade over 10 miles to the gallon when being rallied; the ltwt with V8 must have been single figures surely?

Cheers. :)

Not sure of any in Cambridge - bit out of my way (i'm on south coast), but check out

for a list of motor clubs. If youget in contact with them they'll be happy to help, or at least point you inthe right direction

Dunno TBH, but i'd imagine so! IIRC it broke halfway round anyway. In fact its sat on his drive now, having broken yet again!
