apparently it can take that kinda abuse all day long as both the 4age and
3sgte engines were slightly overly engineered. a 3SGTE can handle 300+bhp quite easily. i wouldn't tempt fate with my MR2 like that though hehe although most people have increased boost to 14psi and got 280bhp and there cars have been fine well past the 130k mark running that kinda boost.that's one mental 1.6 though :-P

Fuck me. That's some serious horses for 1.6l.

I believe they are primarily made out of unobtanium.

With forged internals, metal headgasket, bigger turbo, decent cams, full lightening and balancing, plus sorting of the fueling (injectors, fuel rail, pump, and regulator) and a 3d mapable ECU, 600BHP is possible. It can be daily driven, but it wouldn't run flat out all day.

I've tried and tried to find a supplier of that, but no-one seems to do it.
