There was a Mk 5 Jaguar with an OHV engine but I cannot remember much about that one other than it was a terrific looker. pete

The Mk V(!) was a post-war stop-gap because Jaguar needed a more modern looking car. The XK engined Mk VII (there never was a Mk VI; Bentley had first dibs on that one) was still a few years down the line.
