I'm sorry, have I missed some posts somewhere

Yeah, like he said, his mum.

Ideal woman's shopping cart.

Too right - too many people buy cars to impress online contacts rather than it's because it is what they want...

And it's not worked for me either :-( Though I don't know quite who would be impressed by a beat up red bx.

(yeah - Dan's brakes may be painted red - but my whole car is, so that must be better!)

cheers, clive

The Ducati has more trick 'named' bits bolted to it than anything else on here, though :-P

Not good. Should have kept the V on slicks and added some turbos and nitrous????

Ouch, I'm sorry to hear it. Trade the Clio in for a Corvette YKIMS, in fact a sensible move, trade it in for Musbishitti VR4 or Legnum.

You're going to have to wrestle naked with John McCririck?

You gottoa do that road trip.

Or maybe persuade the V's new owner to do a Gumball with you are co- pilot.

APC, BCV, DI, ABS, SID, ECU Thats a few for a fairly simple car.

RS24, R134, R314A, R49 There are others.

Brakes and suspension are by Brembo, Ohlins and Showa. (twin) carbs are Mikunis and valves are Desmodromic, to avoid valve float.

S*it, that blows big time :(

But why chop in the Vee? The only reason should be to buy something even more stupid. Like a 3 month trip to Amsterdam, with all the trimmings!!

I thought the point of the Vee was to significantly increase the chances of that particular "worst" being unlikely to happen. So I'm agreeing with Carl here :-)

(btw forgot to mention I've got brembo disks too. Plain unvented ones, but they did have the name on :-) )

cheers, clive

Even the s**te old 75 has Brembo brakes.

Yea I am planning on doing such things too :-) I chopped the Vee because they're not actually that fun to drive, as the chassis is so edgey and knife-edge you daren't really push it, and when you do, it bites you. The R27 is so, so much more fun to hurl down a back road. Tiff Needell described it as "Close to hot hatch perfection" on the 5th gear review vs the Corsa VXR (available on YouTube for any doubters). I must admit though, it all seems a bit pointless after today heh.

The ring and the island are occuring very soon :) As soon as I get the R27 from the dealership. See I wouldn't have enjoyed those half as much in the Vee because I could drive much more 'spiritedly' in the R27 as it's just so much more capable and confidence inspiring.

Heh! First thing my brother said was, "Keep the Clio for a week and get a

911 - Grandad will give you the rest of the coin"

:-)

I have a real serious fetish for BMW Z4M Coupes though, so given the choice it'd have to be one of them.

Bad s*it, brother. Victories against you at blow-football will seem all the more hollow from now on.

Still, got your tickets booked to go to the 'Ring in the new Clio?

A bad workman always blames his tools ;-)

Seriously, with that kind of cash burning a hole in my pocket, there is absolutely no way I'd have bought a FWD supermini.

Ewwww. Mind you a Z1 would be good in a hairdressery sort of way.
