I think I might have a plan...

Menlove Ave and Forthlin Rd are about 2 minutes drive from the limo company. I'm 2 minutes from the Casbah and Pete Bests old house, Albert Grove is 10 mins away, and my mate Pat lives in a house that the Beatles used to practise in before they got to use the Casbah...

I can't get away from the frickin' Beatles haunts on my commute.

Somethings already been to 2 Hundreds in eSseX.

Yes unless you are part of TV police interceptors team or a miscreant that stretch of A12 is way boring.

Oh god, you need Help!

Pete M gurgled happily, sounding much like they were saying:

Yes, you can. Move away from Liverpool. The Czech Republic should be far enough.

Aye. Pretty safe there. Should be sorted by late May... can't wait.

Aye stuff that - will someone loan me a Daytona please?

Oh yes, I've done that bit of road, in a car and in a bus...

In a buss, sat on the offside, looking out of the window, it's a memorable moment.

Fantastic idea. Any excuse for a road trip is good in my opinion. Think about it, people like Danny Wallace do stuff like this and then get all the money back with interest by releasing a book (and now a Hollywood film). Your musings on here and that website that listed every car you ever owned proved to me that you can write.

I was thinking that could be an amusing side-effect.

As for the website with every car... I deleted that by accident after too many Pringles and an issue with Blueyonders e-mail servers. Accidentally deleted my webspace like a total moron. Only pictures of the 4x4 Turbo estate, XJS and red Capri were on that.

I've been busy scanning old car pics lately, one night I'll have to do it all again. Should be amusing.

Aint it just? On an unrelated note, do you happen to know the weekday opening hours of the Wetwang chippy? Planning a meet of some old uni mates, and it seems like a sensible base...

Yup - went there on a school trip in year 9 (the reason why most people did Latin) - the bluuuuuee waters in Capri were amazing.

Google is your friend - just googled for (without the quotes) "wetwang fish and chips opening hours" and it does the trick nicely :-)

Specifically mentions their winter opening hours. I wonder if that's for similar reasons to why s**te old derv engines run less well on SVO in colder weather. Look at that seamless shift back to vaguely on-topic meanderings.....

School trip to Herculaneum? Crikey. I thought our trip to Sellafield was pretty swish...

Fantastic. What is this 'Google' that you speak of, and where can I buy one? Is it taken orally or as a suppository?

LOL! Was pretty good - did all the usual spots around there, including Solfatara - good for my asthma apparently. The 6th form classics trip to Greece was pretty good too, especially as we were all older, and it wasn't just open to ClassCiv students, so people doing supposedly stuff like maths and sciences (for all the good getting decent grades in them did me) could come along for the ride as well :-)

Either or. Comes in fancy branded packaging or generic Tesco value style ones.

just here
