Can you identify this ECU:

Any idea what the adjustable bit adjusts? The seller is just up the road from me so I'm tempted to buy the whole lot for spares to try and get my Vitesse working.

I'm also considering fitting a FSE Power Boost Valve and dumping the old pressure regulator. Worth the £65 or not?

Basically just messes with the output from the coolant temperature sensor. These ECUs are analogue and can't be reprogrammed. They also tend to suffer from dry joints with age - which can be difficult to find and fix. Something like a MegaSquirt is a far better solution.

Yes - these engines tend to run very lean at anything other than full throttle and it will make the car far more drivable. At the expense of fuel consumption though - it's a pretty crude way of increasing the fuelling.

Hmm, pretty crap then, but still a bunch of useful spares. I'm not sure I've got the time or expertise to go megasquirt.

Not really worried about consumption TBH, and the whole system is pretty crude anyway.

It's not actually that difficult a conversion if you keep things simple. You need to add a lambda sensor - there is already a place for one on the manifold which just needs drilling and tapping - and you'd need to change the plug to the ECU, or make up an adaptor. And obviously add the wiring for the O2 sensor. That's if you wish to keep the ignition and cold start system as original - the MegaSquirt can run these too, but doesn't have to.

But in good condition gives pretty respectable fuel consumption. Like about 33 or so on motorway use.
