Yep, I think it was for the Panic Mechanics TV show.
1/4mile of 16.4 secs and 86 mph is 'about the same as a sierra cosworth'???? More like a Lupo Gti. Cosworth is more like 14.8 and 96, i.e. shedloads quicker.
He used to MOT my cars many moons ago!

Which doesn't specify whether the cars are modded, but it does quote the power as being 201BHp. It could have been stripped, I suppose. I think book times are normally taken 2-up with a full tank of fuel, although I wouldn't expect that to make the difference between 14.8 and high 15's.
I liked the Mk1 Escort made into a miniature stepside truck!
