impreza's?

2-door shell, different bodywork all over the place (including wider arches), 2.2 engine instead of the usual 2.0 (it's the same lump though, just bored-out a bit), different suspension setup, and loads of other stuff.

At the time, it was touted to be the ultimate Impreza - factory-built to compete with all the nutter modified ones. In practice, it wasn't really much better than the already-very-good "normal" Impreza - and they're *way* overpriced these days.

I suspect the ones currently living in the UK, can be counted on your fingers ? Is there a way of finding out this sort of thing ? Would the DVLA tell me ?

that's good! my MR2 turbo should do about 90-95mph in third at 7200rpm but the turbo runs out of puff at around 6k so no point holding it out that long :)

The 19 will do 30-60-90-120-150 on the limiter (7200rpm) thru the gears

hmmm ratios must be close to the MR2 turbo then, just the renaults gearbox is probably made of good quality belgium chocolate rather than stronger metal stuff toyota used :)

That's one of those silly max power specials Lotus bodged up then? :-)

My Audi'll do 3000rpm in top gear at 100mph.

Ha! Yup, thats the one. First time i drove it. Feckin dangerous car, it doesn't feel comfortable doin less than 80. Work has a stand at the 'toys 4 big boys' show so we had a mini convoy of Hummer H2, 360 and me in the LC. Was pretty damn cool :)

I was about to say thats damn highly geared but bein a diesel i guess it redlines at 3.5kish :P

A slight weak point in some models. Mines surviving quite well considerin the extra torque. I'd like to fit a JC5 from a turbo diesel so hopefully i can afford one before my engine is ready.

Best thing about renault is they made they 'sporty' models out of off the shelf crap. Williams engine just uses a crank from a 1.9 diesel lump and the TD box. Same basic box is still used in the 182 and 225 but a stronger casting.

Needed to get some anorakism out there, no-one ever asks 19 related questions :(

What was the average age of American soldiers sent to Vietnam?

GTS-t is around the 187kw mark. Pretty lardy I think 1400 kilos. 0-100 in around 6.5 and quarters in the low 14s stock. I love the look of the Fairlady but the engine bay is way too cramped and the v6 engine is known for failures.
