I like this note left on a car in a car park - not sure I'd have had the balls to actually do it though..
(and no it's not the 'Everybody watching me thinks I'm leaving you my phone number' one)

Some people's jealousy knows no bounds does it?
Are you a two-space parker too, then?
One of the (few) plus points in owning a s**te-old-diesel is to park within a couple of inches of the drivers door of a wanker who's parked across 2 bays. It's best when they're still in the car :)
No, I just use my disabled badge, they're loads wider. The simple fact is, if people respected other peoples property and didn't smack their doors against other peoples car (no doubt on purpose sometimes) it wouldn't be an issue. I'd have no problem whatsoever with taking two spaces.
You would if I was parking after you, you'd be sliding across from the passenger side for access ;)
I don't park in 2 spaces, though given the selfish bastards that bang their doors against your car, or park so close that you can't get out, despite there being enough room to park better, I can see why people do. Personally, I just park a long way from the exit/lift/shop/whatever, as I find that the most selfish people are also usually the laziest, and like to park so they don't have to waddle more than 3 feet.
That is so true. As I can't walk that far anyway, I use the disabled spaces with a new badge, and I'm also conscious of having the extra space though. Although once at Leeds, someone without a badge squeezed in between my car and other car in disabled bays on the extra space in between. Pulling my car out and having him clamped was funny.
I wouldn't, I'd have to move - because I wouldn't actually be able to get out due to my ailments. Would that make you feel big?
And what if someone did it because they had a back injury and needed the space to open the door fully to get in and out?
Apparently, that makes me a wanker :) Although as I say, I would do it to protect my car from wankers as well.
I parked the Land Rover like that next to some huge pie muncher at Woodall services. He'd parked across the disabled bay and the bay next to it. Someone with a disabled sticker saw what I'd done and parked on the passenger side also within a few cm of the door. Then we wandered off for lunch.
I was expecting Lard Lad to reverse out and park elsewhere but when we I got back, twenty minutes later he was still there, fuming away. He'd been too scared to move in case he scraped his Vectra on the Landie.
As a lifelong sufferer of back pain [1] I can't think of a single reason to take up 2 disabled (large) parking bays :) Why would 1 person need to use 2 disabled parking spaces ?
[1] Prolapsed l4-l5 at age 17, laminectomy at 18, unable to walk a single step between 19-22, I still have major problems including months at a time unable to move. I very rarely even used my disabled badge to park.
If you were taking up 2 disabled parking bays, I don't think it'd make me feel big, but I'd no doubt have a warm fuzzy feeling inside 8*)
I didn't say it would be two disabled spaces, but sometimes they're all full - Asda in Leeds for example they're always full, usually with some chav sat in the car waiting for someone - with no badge.
Me too. Pretty much similar to you apart from leaving it until I was a few years older and the disc above the two I had operated on packed up 6 years ago. I used my disabled badge so much, I handed it back.
You need a car like mine. It's so bloody narrow that you've got 2ft extra.
Upto now in the thread and in your previous post there was no mention of disabled bays. Parking in any disabled bay you're not entitled to is totally different from double parking in a normal bay.
Bit like me, found out several years ago I had damaged 3 vertebrae causing them to sit crooked. Didn't think anything about it when I probably did the damage 20 years ago after going over my bike handlebars at around 30mph. Been okay the last year but occasionally they move and cause several months of severely limited movement and pain before they find there way back again.
