Depends. As long as they a fitted properly so the tubes/strips don't show from arround it, and they are only switched on when parked, they can look quite good.
It is the tube concealment that is the key.
Tends not to be that good when you don't either.
Saab have been using them since the 80's too. I fitted a DV26 to the T16S as the original Bosch was crippled.
tis indeed a NON wooshy dumpvalve silent in operation and remap was a custom from star performance,
mods to follow include a decent CAI and decat and then the head comes off(going for a BVH as the bottom ends on the AMK lumps are bulletproof as standard) AMK and the BAM engines are the same as found in the audi TT's(225)
other than that the rest of the car is pretty much spot on suspension is perfect as standard as is the 323mm brakes up front with brembo calipers
