newbie question: adding Alloy Wheels to a Honda Civic (new shape)

Oct 08, 2003 6 Replies

Hi,

I own a Honda Civic 1.6 SE X-reg (new shape) with 195/60 R15 tyres and am looking to add alloy wheels to it. Does anyone know the pcd?!? and other settings that I should be quoting when looking for alloys?

Also anyone provide reputable on-line links to alloy wheels retailers

Thanks in advance,

Scott M.

The PCD on your civic will be either 4 x 114.3 or 5 x 114.3 Depending on whether you have a 5 stud or 4 stud version!

Oh yeah, offset should be round the +40 mark

All you need to quote, is the Make, Model, and Year of your car. The wheel supplier will already have all the details.

The best bit is if it doesn't fit its there problem rather than yours.

Did you see the Civic in Evo's tuned car of the year awards? The bloke had the suspension geometry changed a bit (ISTR less front toe in, and some back toe in added), which apparently improved the Civic's handling no end. Might be worth doing whilst you're fiddling with wheels etc.

C&CC's tuned car of the year issue even.
