It's pretty damned good.

But there's a s*it load of filler in that, considering it's a 'racecar'.

You might want to read a little further - his plan is somewhat different to what you might first think.

ISTR it's fairly standard race car approach - bog up the body until you've got what you want, then take moulds and do it properly with fibreglass or carbon.

There's very little original metal left at the end. He's got pictures on pretty much every page, so skip through every 4 or 5 or so and you'll get an idea. As Doki says, GRP moulds of the filler version you saw, then new panels based on them. It's interesting seeing the change from a very shiny ok-looking car (painted up for the moulds) to him having chopped it all off.

Mind ewe, I have seen a full carbon golf shell being built in one of the comics by someone. That's skill...
