OT: Message from Dan

I was getting a bit worried about the lad yesterday, so posted a messageon his facebook page.Here's the reply:'Hi there everyoneJust to firstly explain, this is Dan's friend Andy Shepherd writing toyou on behalf of Dan. He has asked me to give you all a quick message toupdate you on his condition of late. As most of you are aware in May last year Dan was diagnosed withterminal cancer, and has sadly been in a declining state ever since. Atthe moment, specifically over the past week or so Dan's condition hasdeclined very quickly, to the point where he is now sedated all of thetime at home to stop him feeling ill. He is in no pain at all, and iswaking up for small intervals to chat to people around - his personalitystill shines through despite the heavy sedation and he very much remainsthe same Dan we all know and love. He is however becoming conscious ofthe fact this his time is drawing thin and the inevitable is now notvery far away. He has asked me to pass on his respect to you all, wishing you all thevery best in everything you do. If you would like to leave a wallmessage on his facebook page, please feel free ? these can be passed onto him. Also, if there is anyone missing from his current friend list can youplease pass this message on to all that may want to know. ThanksAndy, on behalf of Dan. What I'd like, is, in case it's not obvious from my other posts, if we were to have a meet at something like a BTCC meet... or maybe a trackday.

Timo and I went to the 'Race Retro' show up near Coventry the other week - that's the sort of thing that would warrant some of us travelling that bit further for a meet... no offence, like, as I would like to meet up with the majority of bods in here at some stage. :-)

Not too worried about where it is, but like I keep saying, a meet at a meet would make it more justifiable in terms of the time / effort etc to get there.

I'm not fussy about location. Oulton wouldn't be too bad to get to for most of us apart from JackH. Rockingham is pretty easy too if the northern lot dare venture down south

As I said, this particular Capri is both worth more and in better condition than a shagged out 6 year old repmobile oil burner.

I find it funny as f*ck that anything TDI can have "Sport" as a model.

Actually, looking at your sig, the Capri is both worth more and in better condition than both your vehicles.
