Nah, you've got the wheelarch cutting into the footwell space quite badly though. They don't have much of a transmission tunnel as the gearbox is under the engine..

Well, it's where the trans tunnel would be in a RWD car. I'd have liked one but I can't get comfy in it for any period of time.

How much time do you spend in the passenger seat?

The only time I'm ever in a passenger seat is on the way back from the pub..... handily, Katie has given up drinking :D

Unless the floorpan's assymetrical, the driver's seat will be just as cramped as the passenger seat. Probably more cramped, as you've got the pedal box in there,

Oh, there is a slight tunnel, but no better than any other FWD car I've driven apart from a 2CV The problem I think is the wheelarches cutting into floor space so you find you are putting your feet nearer the centre of the car. The pedals are offset to the centre of the car, and are definitely an acquired taste. I'm 6'1" and 15 stone, and I find them quite comfy once you get used to it.

I'm 6'2" and closer to 17st. I could drive one fine with shoes or trainers but the pedals are a bit close for driving boots. But I find that with most manuals.

The 96 was better, totally flat floor in those....

I'm 6 foot 4 with long legs, I've never had a problem getting comfy...

most have a centre console in the way - now the early/more basic ones didn't have this and you had much more room....

remove one bolt under the ashtray and you can rip this thing out....
