That's not far from where I live.
That is just...wrong.
A garish OTT monstrosity IMO. About the only thing classic about it, is as an example of bad taste. Anyone who pays £8.5k for something like that, needs their head examining. Mike..
But that is pure unashamed show car customisation. That would have been a cover car in the 70's for any car modding=20 magazine arround.

It's still bloody 'orrible though.
It's not got any redeeming features, doesn't look that well done, and is bull buggeringly garish - even for something from the '70s.
If it'd been a well executed replica of the early 70's "Cologne" Capri I'd like it, but it's just something that conjures up images of bri-nylon shirts, Brut 33, Cossack hairspray, Skol, 40" bell bottom flares and more than anything else it makes me think of Essex - and I don't like thinking of Essex.
It's *exactly* what Vamp would drive if he was old enough to drive in 1974. As it is, he's just got a non-running example of the modern equivalent of that Capri.
So it shows it's date perfectly? It is designed to look exactly like that and does.
Essex car, essex engine, for an essex boy.
FOOKING JESUS H CHRIST, that must've been bad taste even for the 70's.
Dralon interior with tassles..WTF is that all about? MK2 Grandad rear light clusters...
It's a shame...the running gear is spot on.
It has one redeeming feature...Jag IRS.
Living in the valleys.
'Italy got the pasta and we kept the noodles, see!'
That's only because that's *current* fashion out there.... at least Essex has partially moved on with the times..
The only good thing to come out of South Wales is "Twin Town"..
