Power steering pressure

I've sorted the locks in the XR, which means I can finally put a stereo in it. Hooray!!

However first I've gotta fix a metal power steering pipe that a rabbit with a relative speed of 60 mph decided to disintegrate it's head on, not to mention the possible hole in the new rad too grrrrrrrrr, bloody wildlife! So my question is, how much pressure is the power sterring system under? I wanna try and fix it with some chemical metal (IME its pretty good stuff). Will this be enough to fix it do you reckon? Or is it just gonna blow again, meaning I'm gonna have to go down the scrappy to hunt for this pipe?

Alot. THose hoses are high pressure ones.

It'll blow. Go to scrappies or see if there's a company that specialises in making high pressure hoses. I know there's one in Hull where you can walk in and they'll make one up for you on the spot.

Track down the local Pirtek agent, and take old pipe along.

They should be able to sort something.

Remove it and use a brass welding rod to fix it, unless its at an end.near a fitting.
