C, and make it as removable as possible with a full retrim too.
Mean't proper retrim to the new console, but removable so it doesn't a full retrim under it when you want to put the car back to stock.
A variation on the theme?
With my '72 Saab 99, I put in a period looking fm radio and bought one of these for the boot:
Good suggestion but original radio is a mono AM vintage 1972. Even if I got it converted it would sounds like s*it.

Thats the plan. I am making a box that goes over the console and screws into the factory screw holes. Should be a bit of a project. I'm starting on it tonight. I'll post pics of my progress.

There's at least one company who sticks completely new innards in old radios if you want to keep the car original.
Option C it is. I started on it tonight. I'm hoping to finish it on the weekend. That way I keep the original radio and can turn everything back to stock by taking out 2 screws.
