Tom Tom Navigator 6

Anyone using Navigator 6? I see it now shows the speed limit for the road you're travelling on but it is invariably wrong. Does anyone know is it guessed by the device e.g. it just assigns a speed it thinks is appropriate for the road, or is it held in the map?

If it's the latter, if the government wants to introduce gps-based speed monitoring/limiting then they'd better be a bit more accurate than Tom Tom...

AFAIK it's in the map data...

Justin.

Which is 5 years out of date at the moment.

It's in the map data. In fact TT5 had this data too, you could see it when you ran a route demo and it usually held to the speed limit (or just above) of the road.
