Power-on understeer?
(Peugeot 306 was fun with the lift-off trick; doesn't work in the Beetle, and power-understeer drifing into a corner ready to lift off and gain traction on fast roundabouts makes the ESP system think you're going to crash, and applies brakes in a horrid, dangerous fashion).

I've been playing with power-off oversteer since a couple of months after I passed my test. Crappy rear tyres just make it easier to provoke.
And a hell of a lot less pleasant to catch ;)
Chevettes don't do power-off anything other than "coast gently to a halt"

Tried driving to church on Sunday using only the cruise control, there's one bend which used to be hairy at 25mph in the volvo, lots of squealing and understeer - the A class just thought I was having a laugh and flashed yellow lights at me while braking like mad. It would have gone round, the A class seems to lurch from under to oversteer when the roll overtakes the grip (hence the elk problems) but I can see why they fitted ESP as standard.
but tyres on a KA must last forever as the car is so damn light! well if driven like a womens KA which all KA's are :)
Without track time, 25 to 30 front, 50 to 60 rear.
That's just over a year at the front. :)

Ha, hell no, but i'm open minded to the possibility. I'd like a word tho if there is someone that controls what happens to us - i feel hard done by.
