woo hoo i'm decat'ing!

gonna take the CAT out the car i think when it gets serviced next month, read this on imoc.

"Registration pre 1st August 1995 it does not need a cat and should be tested as not having one. After this date you wll need to refit your cat for MOT. " "Pre 1991 if UK car. He has a tubby and no UK equivelant so 1st Aug 1995"

glad they didn't do an MR2 turbo here now hehe!

Yep, tis true. If a non UK car, they need to find the exact same model in the UK range to test it as UK.

You never ever need a Cat, no matter how new your car is ! But the chances of passing the post-93 emissions test without one, are slim to none.

Yeah, unless the tester can find an *exact* match for your vehicle in his book, then you get the earlier emissions test.

Nope upto 1994 (there is a transitional period) for models that originated before 1992 but where made beyond it. So they made the cutoff 1994/1995.
