FIRST thing you need is the complete shop manual AT LEAST for an 88.

Then you would need all the parts required to make the 88 drivable on the street, never mind the body and subframes, but all the brakes, steering ets parts.

THEN you remove the 5.0 stuff from the 88, attach it to the engine you have.

That includes engine wiring, computer etc.. do NOT cut any wire leading to either the engine or transmission. Then you swap all the braking stuff.. and the springs, I would think.

And then, when you get it all done, you are going to end up with an 88 GT in a 93 skin.. so you MIGHT want to read up on why people prefer AT LEAST the 89.

You've probably got all the parts you need, but it is a supreme pain in the rump. In addition to the entire drivetrain, you've got brakes, suspension, wiring, etc. to deal with. It's not just as simple as swapping in the motor and trans. Unless you've got a LOT of free time on your hands and you can do all your own labor it would be a lot cheaper to just buy an existing 5.0.

You got all the parts you need, now you just need a complete shop, and TONS of free time. Let us know what happens first, you start drawing SS or the car is on the road.

It's pretty simple, but one problem you might have is the computer. Since your parts car is from an 88, the 88's didn't have air bags. your 93 does, so the computer won't be interchangable with the car. you could get a computer for a 93, but 93 mustangs had mass air systems, and 88's had speed density. So the motor is not compatible with a 93 computer. Your best bet would have been to get a 90-93 parts car to accomodate the swap. Also, if your rear end is a 7.5, you'd have to swap it for the 8.8 that's in your GT parts car. some 93

4 cylinders came with 8.8's but not all. With the motor, also, you could just rip all the fuel injection crap off, and go with a car bureted setup. That'd eliminate any computer issues.
