Gas prices in So Cal

My dad almost wanted to fight them for the pump when I was a kid and we were taking a trip to Bend.

I'm a lifer and my parents were born here too. They've since moved down to central (high desert) Arizona though.

I always wondered who pushed through the OR gas jokey thing.... My ex sis in law lives in Eugene and she says it's a safety thing. Yeah, right!

That's like her kids can get up before the sun comes up and be out on the street delivering newspapers, but here in CA they took the jobs away from the kids because they didn't want them put at risk out delivering newspapaers before the sun was up.

I swear, if the state did any more for the individual to protect them from themselves, you couldn't go to the bathroom without a safety helmet and someone to watch you.

I Retired from the USAF almost 11-months ago after serving for 20 years. 20 was enough for me! :>)

Ah, yes. The great migration north. south and central america pushing north into southwest which displaces the population already there.

Where I am has grown from about 36,000 to close to 100,000 in just the last 10-12 years, and it's nearly all from the south state.

I am in far north CA (I'm 4th generation CA - my daughter is 5th, which is VERY rare in CA). But what the liberals have done to this state gives me reason to consider elsewhere. But no way would I leave the west coast. I've live in ME, MN, NY, IN, MA and I just don't like it back east.

Motorists face gasoline shortages as well as record prices the next few weeks because of the skintight U.S. refining and distribution network. The vulnerability of that network, combined with low inventories of both gasoline and the crude oil from which it's made, have the government and energy experts increasingly nervous that some places in the USA will run out of gas temporarily. An accident that has disrupted shipping on the Mississippi River and in the Gulf of Mexico could trigger shortages this week.
