HEY! I got my Cobra before you got YOURS so hush up wise guy! LOL
And, chances are, I'll have another one before you get that one paid off ... hubby says maybe an '05.
Mean Ol' Kate
HAHA That's right, you had a cobra before I did. I forgot which year it was but I think it was a 96-98 model ? I always liked those as well. Been close to buying one a couple of times. by the time the 05 comes out I might trade mine in too. So far I like the outside of the 05 model, but the inside I do not like. Too much retro.

I think the whole thing is too retro, but who the hell listens to women when it comes to anything but a freaking kid carrier anyway!
I only think I might consider an '05 because by then mine will be paid off and it would have loads (I hope) of horses under the hood and be NEW. Will just have to wait and see what the budget will allow by that time. i do know I am getting a little frustrated with not being able to take care of some frustrating things going on with my car right now. I may just trade it in on a pickup just because...

98 Cobra Drop Top With a personal touch... or two

There are some weird clunks and rattles going on underneath her. We had a look when she was in for tires last week and couldnt find anything. You know how that goes, they really don't want you under their lift anyway you kind of have a quick look and then duck out.
I think it may be a bad transmission mount and/or front bushings and she needs an alignment. But first a new set of caster camber plates. There is a rattle someplace in the back by the top of the seat. She needs a new turn signal switch . Just things that I can't get her up in the air to fix or track down because I have the place to do it right now.
The front end really concerns me. It sounds like something is getting ready to drop off now and then, when turning sharply in a parking lot it sort of shifts and clunks...
So... either an F150 4x4 styleside, a Lightning or something like an Escape... I'm not likely to do anything hasty though, only a week or two till we have the house and the shop and I will be able to tear into her.
Kate
Tie-rods perhaps ? I had a bad one on my 95 at about 65K. Replaced it myself, wasn't too bad really.
Still cheaper to fix all these things. Remove NO-SPAM from email address when replying
Had the tie rods checked checked when the brakes were done... good thought though.

Hey, did you not end up buying a cheaper house? can't you use the diff and shug for an 03 Cobra? ;-)
Sorry Kate. Word on the street is no '05 cobra. :) I guess that's more time to save for an '06, or pick up an '04.
Kevin '03 Sonic Blue Cobra
hey all i say before calling the new stang to retro check out the gm thing that ain't sure what it is---- the ssr or something like that. anyway you can bet the 05 stang will kick the snot out of it.
That was written pretty ugly but I can't fault the sentiment...... StuK
Yea yea yea.. I know, but it looks like a Mustang II to me.
