Need a hood scoop for dual 4 barrels?

I have a '65 2+2 project and one option is to use factory orig (?) dual holly 4 barrels. Do these fit under a hood with no air scoop with a 289, 302 or 350?

Well, there was no factory Mustang with dual quads, but the repro Cobra intake will work under a flat hood. The 350 is a Chevy engine, so I suggest you slap yourself silly at the soonest opportunity.

I don't believe dual quads were ever a factory option - even from Shelby. But a low riser manifold like Edelbrock on a 289 or 302 engine should fit under a stock hood . It's the same height as a single quad. The 350 is a chevy motor, so forget that. But the 351W is a little taller than the 302. Not many 4 barrel sytems will fit under a stock '65-'66 hood. The 351W was never an optional engine in '65, because it hadn't been invented yet. It didn't come out until '69. Also, I've never seen any dual quad manifolds for the 351W. Strange, but true.

Also, I've never

Maybe not so strange. This might be because, by the time the 351W came out most folks realized a single 4-bbl performs better than dual quads. One of the mags -- Car Craft or Hot Rod -- recently did a test of dual quads vs. a single 4-bbl and lost 30 hp with the duals.
