Need advice on a Pypes X pipe kit

Hey, just bought a flowmaster am. thunder 2 chamber catback for my '01 GT. I had originally wanted to buy an aftermarket x or h pipe also. But I would have to get one with cats, and everone ive seen has been about $450-500. Thats just a little steep for me. What im going after is sound. I want the loudest/deepest/best, so i still kinda want the pipe. Well, i found this X pipe kit at Pypes Performance Exhaust. Heres the link for the X pip kits.

The Mustang one is on the very bootom, it has hi flow cats ( mini cats) and passes e-check. Now, youll notice that the price seems to be very very good. This makes me a little suspicious. Has anyone here used one of these? Or known anyone that has? Do you think that because its a 'kit' it will cost more to install at the muffler shop? It says for short tube headers, i am assuming they mean the stock ones?? From looking at this and the installation instructions, can anyone here see a reason not to use this X pipe?

Also, from sound clips ive heard, X pipes sound a little bit raspier and higher pitched than H pipes. But i was figuring that with the FLowmaster Catback, it should sound pretty badass no matter what. And this place only has X pipes.

Thanks for any help

They mean for short tube headers, not stock exhaust manifolds. Were you going to invest in headers too? In the automotive parts world you usually get exactly what you pay for. Cheap is cheap. Save up some more money and get a good kit... Bassani, MRT, etc.

Well my headers connectors are the same type, and in the same spot as my stock manifolds were. I can swap my stock H and my X pipe. My headers are FMS (now FRPP). The thing you may want to check, (besides others experiences) would be the materials used such as stainless steel. Those Flowmasters will rust I think, and X pipes sound better with a straight thru design muffler, like Magnaflow.

. What im going after is

If thats what your after you don't want an X pipe. They are more raspy sounding than deep. Also most people do not like the combonation of a chambered muffler like a Flowmaster and X pipe. IMO you'd be better off staying with an H pipe.
