OT: Please drive safe.

On November 19th, a day before my 21st birthday a close friend of mine died in a car accident. His name was Mike, he was only 20 years old. He was on his way to class early in the morning. Somebody rear ended him which sent his small car into oncoming traffic. He was then hit head on. He was conscious and calm at the scene. He died later that morning at the hospital from internal injuries. Mike was wearing his seatbelt and was following all textbook safety precautions. He was simply in the wrong spot at the wrong time.

I've lost a friend who I grew up with, I still can't believe it...

I'd just like to remind everyone to buckle up and drive safe.

Regards, Andy

That is the reason that I had to quit working in a trauma ICU.. too many young people getting maimed and killed for no reason.

Do something positive with your friends dath - preach at others if you see them driving recklessly; if you see somebody weaving on the roads, call the cops; try to get some dangerous drivers off the road before they ruin somebody's life.

Life goes on, make the best of it.
