Price for 302 block?

A guy I know is selling a 85 roller 302 block for sale. Just machined.

0.030" overbore, decked, cleaned, new cam bearings, and brass freeze plugs. Also, a carb. weinand stealth dual plane intake manifold for 302 brand new, all for $280. Is that a good price for it? or what? It will make for a good replacement for my lil 4cyl.

I would hop all over that block if it is as good as it sounds like.

I'd go for it. Around here a bore job is going for $15-$20 a hole so thats $120-$160 for that, another $20 for the cam bearings and $45 to install them. So thats at least $200 in the machine work and you get the manifod two. Not to mention an easier swap than a 305 Chevy and way more power.

sounds too good to be true in my book...unless the guy is discouraged and is dumping it...

Why can't I find a deal like that?
