Well yea it is a bit of a problem and I just may be getting a new switch, temperature sensor and relay, or some set of the above. It does have A/C and the fan does not run with the A/C on, if that helps with anything.

I cant remember where they all are, they were all over the place in the mid-

80's harnesses but IIRC it IS under the hood.

Only the ECM and FP relays were in pass compartment

May be in either side of driver side strut tower or between pass tower and firewall or on the rad header area. Suggest carefully peeling off harness tape to trace it.

I had TWO of them in which the printed circuit trace were vaporized.

You can solder wires acroos the gaps.

And yes I was going to ask about this because I traced the wires from the fan to the drivers compartment, but lost them there.

Also, Potentially how hard would it be to convert this back to an old style fan that was on the water pump pully as I think the 82 and before had them?

Look at the wire colors going in, same as fan and the sensor switch from center outside neck of intake, near a small hose... bolted to underside of dash to left of steering column.. Disconnect harness connecter.. box unsnaps from itself to remove board.

IIRC, the Mech fan only came with the Vertical core radiator with a plenum shroud.

Fan, Fan spacer, Bolts... so that fan is within 4 inches of core... Or fabricate shroud.
