I used to know this but can't remember. What should a stock '93 LX 5.0 run in a quarter? Oh...automatic (AOD)

low 15's on street tires
Low 15's, low 90s. Of course a bit quicker with 3.27s and a little slower with 3.08s or 2.73s.

A stock '93 LX AOD might run 15.4 or so, and it just might break 90. I actually remember.

Wow, that seems slow... of course I have a 93 too... What is the problem with this time? Surely it isn't off the line... is it gearing, breathing, what?
Thanks.

The stock 2.73 gearing with the AOD kills any kind of launch, and it just takes too long to get into the powerband once you get going.

Brad,
It's the AOD. On average AOD cars are about 8 tenths slower in the quarter than their 5-speed counterparts.
