Tire Replacement

Hello,

I have a 2001 Mustang GT that needs new tires. I currently have 49,000 miles on the original tires. It originally had the Goodyear Eagle Gatorbacks, but I don't think I want to replace my tires with the original model. I looked on tirerack.com to look at possible replacement tires. From the information I read, the BF Goodrich GForce KDWS tires looked like something I might try. I can purchase these tires for about $139/each at Sam's Club. I am looking for a tire under $150. Does anyone have any recommendations? I don't race, the car is a daily driver, which will also be driven in the winter (in snow). Previously I drove an Escort in the winter and stored the Mustang, but I am now trying to sell the Escort. The original tire size was

245/45ZR17. I realize with just about any all season tire that the Mustang will handle poorly in the snow. Thanks for any advice you can give.

Dave
