trade 66 for 89LX?

I have a 66 mustang that I recently purchased for 1700$$. I brought it home on a wrecker and have since got it running. The gauges all work, the alternator is charging and the tranny seems to work allright also. It has a rusty left front and rt front door, rust behind the wheels in the quarters a little bit in the cowl and the drivers side floor board. The front fenders are perfect and all the body lines are straight. No sag in the doors either. The entire engine compartment looks awesome! this appears to be an original v-8 2v a/c and p/w car. It has been restored once before because the numbers tell me it is supposed to be gold with a red interior but it is orange with a black. All 3 number plates match. Now for the big Q? I have only had the car a few weeks, I am having a hard time figuring out what it is worth. I have come to find out that the A/C and pwr steering together are pretty rare. It also has a center console which I know there aren't many of. I have a friend with an 89 LX 5spd 5.0, with pony rims new tires and new exhaust. I can find what it is worth pretty easily. Very clean very fast 89 LX. He wants a straight trade. I am willing because I paid so little for the

I would be inclined to take the trade. A 66 coupe will NEVER be a rare car that you will regret selling. There were over 1 million 65 an 66 coupes made. Since your car has rust in it, I would not hesitate to swap across. A/C and P/S are not going to add a significant value to the car. Condition is everything.

Yes. And the Fox cars are easy to work on, get parts for and reliable.
