Kinda depends on where you live now, don't it?

** Los Angeles

If they have more than 50K miles on them, bite the bullit and purchase new rotors. They're not much more than lathe turning, and you won't end up with warping problems.

And stay the HELL away from Moe, Larry and Curly at the Pep Boys circus. There is no job too simple for these morons to screw up.

** Pepboys isnt that bad. Just some of the people working there. My father and ** brother both work there (In Virginia Beach)

I am sorry to hear that. According to a ladyfriend of mine who once worked as a Pep Boys Service Manager, the Pep Boys is the last-stop for mechanics who are not employable anywhere else. They are paid the lowest wage in the industry, and aren't treated very well.

I have two 'relatives' who work at Wally World. They deserve each other. The only thing worse than a pile of shit, are the flies that land on it.

Hey JD, is your site down or your provider not working. I've tried to visit a couple of times and it tells me I'm not allowed to see the page.

Ooops! I moved it to a different provider, but they didn't work out, and I've been so busy that I forgot to move it back. (BTW - Fry's.com sucks.) Sorry 'bout that; it's uploading as I now type, and should be available again by

7:00 pm PST Monday evening at:

http://209.142.8.13/users/jdadams It needs updating pretty badly, and it looks like this weekend it will happen. Thanks for reminding me that it was missing - I've totally forgotten it was absent.

Ahhh, thanks!! What I really wanted was to follow your upgrades as far as doing suspension first and going with some of your suggestion as far as the name brands you mentioned for my car. Looks like I may have to use a couple of different models of parts like a two-point K-member brace instead of a

4-point, but still go with the company recommendations.

If you are interested. I could come up with a different design for your site (using a template out of FrontPage 2k2) that would give your site a bit of a face lift. Just looking to get some practice in creating websites so there would be no cost or any credit needed. (ok, a shameless plug for my home page would be nice)

It would be easy enough to copy all the information from your site to my computer, then apply a template, zip it up and put the zipped file on my homepage for you to d/l and review it. Like I said, it would all be for practice for me.

Not a chance. It's ugly, but it's fast, it's W3C compliant and will work with any browser, and it's keyed in using Notepad using as little code as possible. Thanks anyway.

This truly frightens me. No thanks! (reconsidering removal...hmmm.)

Ok, no problem. Figured I'd ask before doing anything since you are the author of the site and that gives you the copyright protection.

Let me know before you do decide to remove the page. I would like to finish taking notes so I can make sure I have parts listed in my wishlist.

Never mind, got all the notes I need! Now just to bounce the parts off my wishlist to see how much I'm going to need to save.

I'll leave it up, not to worry. Take anything you need. Of all the mods I've done, the ones that really stood out were the frame strengthening and the Bullitt suspension mods. Sadly, some of the recommendations I've made didn't pan out. The shifter was God-awful noisy, and worst of all: the UD pulleys actually caused a power LOSS, evidenced by a recent magazine dyno chart I examined. They do add just a tiny bit of power at the top end, but anywhere less than 5,000 rpm, you actually lose very significant amounts of HP and torque. Very dissapointing. I've had other revelations, but haven't had time to update the site yet - might have time this weekend, after I finish working on my Winter Beater, and fixing a bathroom plumbing problem.
