1990 300ZX

I have just bought a 1990 300ZX and the previous owner said it has not had a timing belt or spark plug change because it hasn't reached the

100,000 Klms service yet. It has only done 84,000 Klms. I thought that the timing belt also has an age limit so must be changed by age or kilometers whichever comes first. Any thoughts on this and any other serviceable parts that should be replaced now would be appreciated.

Cheers.

The timing belt should be changed every 5 years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first. I'd go ahead and change the spark plugs too.

Thanks for the info Dustin. Cheers.

Also, you'll want to spend some time over at

. The amount of information about the Z32 on that site is amazing. You can use the Search function and the Tech section to find answers to most of your questions concerning your car. Congrats on your purchase.

I've been doing just that, thanks again Dustin.

Cheers.
